Anand Swaroop Maharaj was born on December 13, 1964. His childhood unfolded across various cities in India, as he moved alongside his parents. From a young age, he exhibited remarkable intellectual promise, which eventually led him to pursue a B.Tech degree at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Never one to rest, he continued his academic journey with a post-graduate management degree at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kolkata, two of the country’s most revered institutions.
It seemed that the stage was set for a meteoric rise in India’s corporate world. Maharaj walked the polished halls of one of India’s largest corporate houses, and a promising career was unfolding before him. However, deep within, a different calling was stirring — one that material success could not fulfill.

Even as a teenager, Anand Swaroop Maharaj was deeply drawn to spirituality. He came to see all familial relationships — of husband, wife, parent, or child — as relationships solely with Shree Krishna.
His journey took him to the sacred land of Braj and various holy sites across India, where he immersed himself in spiritual learning and austere practices. Each encounter with enlightened saints strengthened his inner resolve, and his commitment to finding a true spiritual master remained unwavering.
During this time, Maharaj deepened his understanding by studying the writings of revered Acharyas and practicing rigorous devotion, laying a strong foundation for the spiritual leadership he would later offer to the world.

After years of relentless seeking, Anand Swaroop Maharaj’s prayers were answered. Through the grace of Lord Krishna and divine destiny, he found refuge at the lotus feet of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj. This meeting was profound and transformative.
Maharajji himself later reflected on their encounter, saying, “He recognized me as one would recognize his mother.” Under Shree Kripaluji Maharaj’s guidance, Anand Swaroop Maharaj entered a period of intense sadhana (spiritual discipline), living within the ashram walls and devoting himself entirely to the study of the Vedic scriptures, along with Indian and Western philosophical systems.
Upon completing his spiritual education, his Guru entrusted him with a monumental task — to disseminate the eternal truths of Sanatan Dharma across the globe.
